Draymond Green not playing Warriors’ next two games in Chicago, Milwaukee due to calf injury

The Golden State Warriors have ruled out Draymond Green in their two upcoming games due to calf tightness.

Per a report of Anthony Slater of The Athletic, head coach Steve Kerr announced the decision, further saying that the big man might also entirely miss the Dubs’ next four games on their current road trip.

With Green out since last week, the Warriors recently took a huge blow on their 116-108 Tuesday night loss against the Memphis Grizzlies. As the rising Chicago Bulls and the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks are now on their schedule in front, it’ll be interesting how they will handle these two Eastern Conference heavyweights without their demonstrative leader.

Green is averaging 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks. The engine of the Warriors’ reemergence, he is one of the clear favorites to win the Defensive Player of the Year this season.

Golden State remains competitive and now projected to return into the postseason after a two-year absence, filling the 2nd spot of the hyper-competitive Western Conference with a 30-10 card.
