FanDuel Odds for the WNBA Draft and Futures Odds for the Championship – Hoopfeed.com

Sports betting is becoming legal in more and more states. Massachusetts became the latest state to allow state residents to place wagers on sporting events with the opening of retail sportsbooks at the end of January and the legalization of online sportsbooks for residents in early March. While women’s sports aren’t as prevalent in sportsbooks listings, there has been progress. Most of the top sportsbooks list WNBA Futures Odds, and some also included women’s NCAA DI games in their listings during the 2022-23 season.

Furthermore, the country’s leading online sportsbook, FanDuel, announced a multiyear partnership extension with the WNBA in September, making the operator the official sportsbook partner and official daily fantasy partner of the league. The extension comes five years after FanDuel became the league’s daily fantasy partner.

Ahead of the 2023 season, FanDuel and a few other sportsbooks list futures odds for the 2023 championship. However, FanDuel goes a step further and has also posted odds for the 2023 WNBA Draft. Below are the odds for the top two picks in this season’s draft and the championship.

Odds for the No. 1 Pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft
Aliyah Boston -2400
Diamond Miller +1900
Jordan Horston +2900
Stephanie Soares +8500
Maddy Siegrist +11000
Haley Jones +12000
Grace Berger +16000
Odds for No. 2 Pick
Diamond Miller -950
Aliyah Boston +2300
Jordan Horston +2600
Maddy Siegrist +2200
Haley Jones +2200
Stephanie Soares 11000
Brea Beal +9500

How to Read the Draft Moneyline Odds

A moneyline is a bet on which team or player will win a contest, game, award, etc., outright, with the favorites getting a negative number and the underdogs listed with a positive number. The odds are based on $100 bets; however, some bookmakers may cap the amount of money you can bet.

So you would need to bet $2400 just to win $100 if you placed a wager on Aliyah Boston. However, if you chose Diamond Miller, a $10 bet would earn you $190. FanDuel’s maximum wager for Diamond Miller is $53.

Futures Odds for the 2023 WNBA Championship

Las Vegas Aces +120
New York Liberty +130
Washington Mystics +1200

Chicago Sky +4100
Connecticut Sun +4500
Minnesota Lynx +4500
Seattle Storm +5000
Los Angeles Sparks +5500
Indiana Fever +8000

How to read the WNBA Futures Odds

Presented in a list, the odds are generally ranked from teams or players with the best chances to the worst. The 2023 WNBA Championship futures odds have the Las Vegas Aces set as the favorites to win the title. The Aces are listed at the top of the futures odds at +120 (win $120 on a $100 bet).

The Indiana Fever has longer odds to win the championship and is listed at the bottom at +8000 (win $8000 on a $100 bet).
