Indiana Fever wins 1st pick in 2023 –

The Indiana Fever won the first pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft after the league held the draft lottery Friday afternoon. Earlier in the day, the team introduced its new head coach Christie Sides. 

Lottery odds were based on the cumulative records of the two most recent regular seasons. The Fever had a cumulative record of 11-57, giving the franchise the most chances to land the top pick (442 out of 1,000). Next season’s draft is scheduled for Monday, April 10, 2023.
