Ja Morant: “I’m must-see TV”

Ja Morant has been making strides since entering the NBA in 2019. The 22-year-old point guard increased his scoring average this season by 8 points compared to last year.

He is averaging 27.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 6.6 assists in 33.3 minutes per game for the Grizzlies this season. Morant’s most recent performance received lots of attention.

In the game against the Spurs he dropped 52 points and also made a number highlights. The video of his buzzer-beater against San Antonio broke the record of most views from an NBA video on Instagram.

“Sheesh,” Morant said, per Drew Hill of Daily Memphian. “I’m must-see TV. Me and my teammates. That’s why I got 30 million.”
