Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr still won’t commit to a return date for Klay Thompson. But Kerr has some idea of his plans for Thompson upon his return.
Kerr said his “guess” is that Thompson will be limited to about 15-20 minutes per game. And that “there’s a good chance” Thompson won’t play both ends of back-to-backs. Kerr added this is as Thompson gets back up to speed.
There has been reporting that Thompson will return on Sunday after missing two full seasons. Thompson was initially out after tearing his left ACL during the 2019 NBA Finals. Then, during his rehab from that injury, Thompson tore his right Achilles. The two injuries have caused him to miss the last two full seasons, and almost half of the 2021-22 season.
