Knicks Sign Ryan Arcidiacono to Second 10-Day Contract

Ryan Arcidiacono is back for his second stint with the New York Knicks this season after the organization announced they are signing the former Villanova star to his second 10-day contract on Wednesday.

A newcomer from last week’s Cam Reddish trade, Solomon Hill, was waived to make the roster spot available for a backup point guard behind Alec Burks.

Arcidiacono originally joined the Knicks in early January on a 10-day contract when the Knicks were missing Kemba Walker, who was out of the lineup with a persistent sore left knee. He was likely insurance while Walker is out, and Derrick Rose is still recovering from right ankle surgery. Arcidiacono’s debut was delayed due to a sprained ankle and was cut a week later.

After being waived by the Boston Celtics before the start of the 2021-22 season, Arcidiacono has averaged 12.7 points, 5.7 boards, 8.0 dimes, and 1.7 steals per game in six appearances for the Celtics G-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws.
