London Lions lost 95-80 to Danish side Bakken Bears in their third game of the second stage of the FIBA Europe Cup on Wednesday evening.

After a tight opening quarter, it was the home side that were able to open up an early advantage. Bears made the most of their opportunities and led Lions 20-15 after the first period.

Much like the first quarter the second was a close affair. However, unfortunately for the side from the capital, it was Bears that won the quarter 24-22 to lead 44-37 at the halftime break.

The third half continued in a similar fashion with Lions unable to reduce the deficit against a strong Bakken side. Going into the last Lions trailed 69-59.

Bears kicked on the last, limiting Lions to 21 points whilst adding 26 of their own to wrap up a comfortable 95-80 victory.

Darko Jukic led the scoring for Bears with a game-high 20 points while Aurimas Majauskas impressed for Lions as he finished with 18 points.
