Surrey Scorchers tonight announced the signing of forward Devin Thomas for the remainder of the 2021-22 season.
The 25-year-old will be joining Scorchers and making his debut in the British Basketball League after a short stint in Czech Republic and Finland.
The Indiana State forward spent his first-year pro playing in the Belize NEBL for Verdes before moving to BMS Herlev Wolfpack in the Denmark BasketLigaen.
A key piece in the Wolfpack puzzle Devin averaged 15.7ppg, 6.9 rpg whilst shooting an impressive 41.5% from the 3-point line.
“I am really excited to add Devin to our roster,” said Coach Raftopoulos.
“We have had him here for a while but unfortunately that injury bug hit us, so he hasn’t been able to get on the court. We are at a point where he knows he has got to perform.
“He will slot in to help stretch the floor being a very good passer of the basketball and can knock down shots from outside the three-point line.
“He’s going to be someone who contributes on both ends of the court.”
Looking forward to getting going with the squad Devin added, “I feel like I fit in perfectly with this team, my skill set and the way we run our offense and defence, I feel like I’m a good fit.
“I’m going to bring my energy on both sides of the floor, I can shoot the three really well so I can space the floor and do what I got to do to get us some wins.”
