Stephen Curry boldly claims Warriors with Kevin Durant will outlast the 1996 Chicago Bulls in six games

Superstar point man Stephen Curry has delivered a one, huge dagger.

Not a three-pointer this time, but a bold claim — that his Golden State Warriors with Kevin Durant will overpower Michael Jordan and the 1996 Chicago Bulls in a seven-game Finals showdown

As Curry answered confidently all the questions delivered to him in various social media sites upon guesting in GQ Sports, he likes the Warriors’ chances to take on the fellow legendary squad if all are healthy, even saying that they’ll take the once in lifetime series in just six games.

“Absolutely. Obviously we’ll never know, but you put us on paper with them… I like our chances. I’d say dubs in 6, too.”

The Bay area with Durant was a two-way superpower — a cheat code team that was arguably unbeatable when all cagers are available. With their immense talent, depth and coaching, they managed to go on for a 67-15 regular season record and an almost unblemished 16-1 standing in the 2017 postseason — which currently stands as the greatest in playoff history books of the league. Eventually they won back-to-back and claimed the 2018 title against the daunting challenges.

Meanwhile, the Bulls being led by possibly the greatest player in Michael Jordan is an absolute force. With an ultimate supporting unit of hall of famers Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, Ron Harper, Toni Kukoc, Steve Kerr and Luc Longley, they etched fears in front of the opposing opponents — ultimately marking a 72-10 record and even nailing it with a championship ring.

The Steph-KD Warriors battling the MJ-led Bulls has been a subject of a huge sports debate since the last decade. These two heavyweight teams for the ages have constructed their very own basketball supremacy on the respective generations they existed. Though it will always be a pipe dream to see Jordan posting up against Klay Thompson, Curry shooting a three over Harper, Pippen fighting for every inch against Durant, and Rodman hardly going nose-to-nose against Draymond Green, having both squads combating until the final buzzer is beyond words to imagine.

As these kinds of questions will remain subjective, given the fact that the Warriors and the Bulls played in different rules and eras, one important thing must be noted, after all: Let’s enjoy the game and the memories they gave us throughout the years of their dominance.

How about you? Which squad will you pick?
