Utah’s superstar Donovan Mitchell says ‘he’s still working on little things’

Utah Jazz are in the middle of a tough series of games, having five losses in the last six games. Regardless of their recent struggles, Donovan Mitchell is still performing on a high level.

Mitchell leads Utah in scoring with 25.5 points per game, adding 5.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals. He’s shooting 45% from the field and 33.9% from beyond the arc.

The Utah’s superstar reached levels of stardom, after being named to the all-rookie team and winning a slam-dunk contest. He constantly improved his game in the last three seasons, becoming Jazz’s main offensive weapon.

“I’m still working on little things,” Mitchell said. “I want to be more efficient. The efficiency is important. It’s all about just trying to continue to get better and continuing to work hard.”

Mitchell is the lone guard alongside Steph Curry to average 25+ points in the tough Western Conference. The two-time All-Star is hoping to lead Utah to its first title, while he will also make his third NBA All-Star team this year.

The Jazz are fourth in the West with a 29-16 record, after a tough loss vs the rebuilding Houston Rockets. Mitchell and co. will try to bounce back next game vs Detroit on Friday night.
