In an interview with Eurohoops during the EuroLeague Media Day featuring the reigning champions of the competition, Derek Willis, the former player of Joventut Badalona and Reyer Venice, discussed various subjects.

One of the topics he delved into was his time with the Wildcats in the NCAA, during which he had the opportunity to form a close connection with Karl-Anthony Towns.

“Players often change their numbers after joining the NBA,” Willis said. “There was only one name that did not change his number: Karl-Anthony Towns. He is a very friendly person. You can send him a message whenever you want.”
