CLEVELAND, Ohio — With a breakout performance from freshman guard Tessa Johnson and a monster game by senior center Kamilla Cardoso, South Carolina became the tenth team to finish the season undefeated (38-0) with an 87-75 win over Iowa on Sunday at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse for the national championship.
The win also made Dawn Staley the fifth coach in NCAA Division I women’s basketball to have at least three titles.
